It was quite a Sunday for Gayle Benson and her two professional franchises.

First, the New Orleans Saints defeated the Carolina Panthers, 20-17, at Caesars Superdome for their second straight win.

Then, the New Orleans Pelicans matched the Saints, winning their second straight game, a 114-104 victory at Chicago.

Williamson played after the last five games with a right hip strain. It was just the 11th game Williamson has played in this season out of 27 games.

New Orleans rallied after trailing by three points in the fourth quarter.

It was all about the play of reserves.

Led by Williamson, who came off the bench, New Orleans reserves scored 50 points. Jordan Poole contributed 16 points off the bench.

Trey Murphy led the Pelicans with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Jeremiah Fears scored 20 points as well. Herb Jones and Saddiq Bey each scored 10 points.

New Orleans controlled the boards by a 53-43 margin.

The Pelicans won despite being outscored 39-24 from 3-point range while New Orleans shot just 8 of 33 (24%) from 3-point range. The Pelicans sank 20 of 25 free throw attempts. New Orleans outscored Chicago 60-46 in the paint.

The Pelicans (5-22) return to action Thursday at home against Houston.
