Kentucky basketball had a 2-0 week for the first time in over a month and just the second time this season.

The unranked Wildcats beat North Carolina Central on Tuesday, 103-67, before pulling off a 72-60 comeback victory over Indiana on Saturday.

Haslametrics now has Kentucky at No. 19 in their rankings, while KenPom also has the Wildcats at No. 19.

Though the Hoosiers were also unranked, both Indiana and Kentucky had been ranked the week prior, so it was somewhat of a “quality” win for the Wildcats.

More than anything, the win gave this UK team some confidence as they prepare for St. John’s this Saturday in the CBS Sports Classic and then Bellarmine next Tuesday before Christmas.

Tip-off for Kentucky’s part of the CBS Sports Classic is scheduled for 12:30 PM ET.

Meanwhile, the women’s team took care of business in Nashville on Sunday when they defeated Belmont, 77-69.

Coming in at 15th in last week’s rankings, they should at least hold their spot if they don’t move up.

On deck is a matchup against Wright State on Friday in the Historic Memorial Coliseum.

It’ll be the team’s final game before the Christmas holiday, with tip-off scheduled for 6:30 PM ET.
