Sunday was a pretty good day to be a Minnesota sports fan. The Timberwolves, Wild, and Vikings all won, a feat that apparently doesn’t happen often, as a surprising stat flashed across my screen this morning. It has been almost exactly 22 years since all three teams won on the same day. Wow.
It’s Been Nearly 22 Years Exactly Since All Three Teams Won

Minnesota Timberwolves Won
The Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Sacramento Kings on Sunday, 117-103, behind Julius Randle’s 24 points. It was a nice team win, as the Wolves were without their best player in Anthony Edwards, who missed his second straight game due to soreness in his right foot. In the long term, the rest is probably best for the Timberwolves star, as the team looks to break through this year and get past the Western Conference Finals.
Minnesota Wild Win With New Look Team
The Minnesota Wild also got a big win last night, beating the Boston Bruins 6-2. The team, which just days ago made a HUGE move in trading for Defenseman Quinn Hughes. The trade shook up the NHL and put the Minnesota Wild in a win-now category.
Vikings Win In Prime Time, How ‘Bout Them Cowboys?
The Minnesota Vikings got their win in a Sunday Night prime time game, one that many fans thought would end with an L. It really hasn’t been the Minnesota Vikings’ season. Their young quarterback, JJ McCarthy, hasn’t looked great this year, and they traded for Adam Thielen to start the year, then waived him as he sought playing time on a team that gave him the chance to win.

It all came together last night in Dallas, as the Vikings were on the outside of the playoffs. The win, 34-26, moved the Vikings to 6-8 on the year.

Tell Us You’re From Minnesota (Without Saying You’re From Minnesota)
We asked you to tell us you were from Minnesota, without actually saying you were from Minnesota. The results were very funny, and very Minnesotan — ranging from comments about the weather and sports, to food and mosquitoes.

Thanks For The Memories In MN Adam, SKOL Vikings
With the Minnesota Vikings waiving Detroit Lakes-native, former Minnesota State Mankato Maverick, Adam Thielen today, it’s only natural to go back and revisit his time with the hometown team. Here are some pictures of Adam in purple from his two stints with the Vikings, and his stats during his time with the Vikings.Â
