The Oklahoma City Thunder held practice on Monday. This comes a couple of days after they dropped a 111-109 loss to the San Antonio Spurs in the 2025 NBA Cup semifinals. That snapped a franchise-best 16-game win streak.

Because of the NBA Cup’s funky schedule, the Thunder will enjoy a mini-Christmas break. They won’t play again until Thursday, Dec. 18, against the LA Clippers. That will start a home-and-road back-to-back as they travel to face the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday, Dec. 19.

Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault and Cason Wallace talked to the media after practice. Daigneault talked about their jam-packed schedule at the end of December. Meanwhile, Wallace discussed coming off the bench for the first time this season.

Here’s what happened at the Thunder’s Monday, Dec. 15 practice:

Mark Daigneault on their upcoming 3 B2Bs in 12 days: “When we’re in a condensed schedule, we try to be wise within that while also competing within the games.” pic.twitter.com/2rSBW6Za1x

Mark Daigneault on lineup approaches with a healthy roster: “I’m definitely not going to commit to anything rotationally that’s hypotheticals. All I’ll say is we benefited from fluidity and keeping things open and we’ll continue to do that.” pic.twitter.com/aCVOLWVgRU

Cason Wallace on coming off the bench for the first time this season last game: “You gotta be able to come into the game and make an impact early right when you’re on the court. Usually the guys are already going and you don’t want there to be a drop off when you go in.” pic.twitter.com/V0xusStVtF
