Ivica Zubac
*This is a prediction*

As the Los Angeles Clippers season continues to take a steep decline, sitting at an 6-19 record, and the NBA trade deadline approaches, it is becoming clearer that major changes are going to have to be made to the roster to better the team for the future.

The Clippers are going to have to make trades, and one player that is drawing trade interest that can get the Clippers the assets necessary to rebuild is Ivica Zubac.

If Los Angeles goes through with trading Ivica Zubac, the team that makes sense to trade for him is the Golden State Warriors.

Los Angeles Clippers Trade Ivica Zubac to the Golden State Warriors

Los Angeles Clippers Receive: Jonathan Kuminga, 2026 First Round Pick, 2031 Second Round Pick

Golden State Warriors Receive: Ivica Zubac, Chris Paul, Kobe Brown

The Golden State Warriors currently sit with a 13-14 record. They’re still a contending team, especially with a star player like Steph Curry, but they are going to need some help. With Curry not having many years left in the NBA, going all-in now to win a championship is crucial.

One thing remains an issue that is holding the team back, and that is their rebounding problems and a lack of size at the rim. As Draymond Green gets older as well, his impact isn’t as great, and the Warriors need as much defensive help as they can get.

The ideal trade candidate to help Golden State out in all of these areas is Ivica Zubac. With Zubac being 28 years old, he has the experience of playing in the NBA for numerous seasons already but still has plenty of time left. Zubac has remained dominant this season with averaging 16.6 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game.

Ivica Zubac would be the ideal player to add to the team, and in the process they are able to move on from Jonathan Kuminga and give him a fresh start elsewhere. In return, the Clippers get the draft capital they need to start getting younger and rebuilding.
