Cooper Flagg became the youngest NBA player to score 40 or more points in a game.

Finishing with 42, the most points ever scored by an 18-year-old in NBA history.

Yes, Dallas lost this game, but now when you start looking at the history books, He has already vaulted himself five days until he turns 19.

He is the third-highest scorer ever in NBA history under age 19, behind Kobe and LeBron.

Kobe is about 61 points ahead of him.

Might be able to catch Kobe.

We’ll see how the next couple games go.

But, uh, just a reminder that Cooper Flagg was apparently injured in the first week of the Season, the way we’re all talking, it turns out that Cooper Flagg is still doing really well.

Even if, uh, there’s a lot to still work on around him.

Oh, happy early birthday, by the way, Cooper Flagg, um.

In 5 days.

Um, good for Cooper Flagg.

I felt like in his debut he didn’t have a great night.

So everyone was like, OK, stinks, bust, and I’m looking around like, Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, this guy’s 18 years old.

This guy was, you know, just walking around a college campus a couple of months ago.

Like, let’s give the kid, I don’t know, maybe just a little bit of time to figure things out.

And now we’re seeing, you know, the fruits of that labor and the rewards that follow When you continue to invest in a young player.

I love this for Mavs fans, too.

Life as a Mavs fan can’t have been that fun.

Over the last few years, Let’s say, six months.

You trade away Luka Doni, and they essentially throw a funeral.

For him, in Dallas.

And then Nico Harrison gets fired.

The teams not very good.

It just feels like your world is crashing And burning as a Mavs fan.

And then last night, you start to see the Glimmer of hope for what and who Cooper Flagg can do and become in the NBA.

And I think that’s at least a silver lining that Mavs fans can hold on to.

They’ve been needing some good Fitzy.
