It was a magical season: St. John’s first outright Big East regular season crown since 1984-85 and first Big East Tournament crown in 25 years.
Most of that group moved on — only Zuby Ejiofor, Ruben Prey, Lefteris Liotopoulos and Sadiku Ibine Ayo returned. The Post’s Zach Braziller takes a look at where last year’s players are now:
Kadary Richmond, G League
Richmond attended training camp with the Wizards on an Exhibit 10 contract and was waived on Oct. 18. It was an expected move. The 6-foot-6 guard has played with the Wizards’ G-League team, the Capital City Go-Go, and is producing 6.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.5 steals in 11 games. His avenue to the NBA is improving his jump shot, and Richmond is attempting 2.3 3-pointers per game, and shooting it at a 28 percent clip.
Aaron Scott, G League
Like Richmond, Scott was on an Exhibit 10 deal with the Celtics, and is playing for their G-League team, the Maine Celtics. The 6-foot-7 wing has appeared in 14 games, and has notched 5.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and shot 35.7 percent from deep across 17.6 minutes.
