As the Philadelphia 76ers prepare to take on the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday on the road, they will have to do so while missing some key pieces. While Kelly Oubre Jr. (left knee sprain) and Trendon Watford (left adductor strain) remain sidelined, the Sixers will also be down star guard Tyrese Maxey for the second straight game.
Maxey missed Friday’s win over the Indiana Pacers due to an illness and was initially listed as doubtful against the Hawks. He has since been downgraded to out as he will miss another game after playing in the first 23 of the season. When considering the minutes and the workload he has had to carry, he deserves a break.
While Maxey will be out, the Sixers will hope to have Joel Embiid. The big fella remains questionable due to left knee injury management.
The Sixers will look to pick up a road win over the Hawks at 6 p.m. EST from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
