Portland Trail Blazers rookie Yang Hansen registered his first double-double in the G League on Monday, helping the Rip City Remix to a win over the Stockton Kings.

Yang produced 18 points, 10 rebounds and four assists in the 116-110 victory at the Chiles Center. He finished by shooting 8-of-11 from the field, including one 3-pointer, in 31 minutes, 29 seconds as the Remix improved to 8-5 on the season.

The 16th pick in the 2025 NBA draft worked almost primarily in the paint, using his 7-foot frame to overpower the Kings’ frontcourt. He showcased his mobility and footwork down low, while also controlling the glass on both ends of the court.

Yang has played sporadically this season with the Trail Blazers, averaging 2.6 points and 1.8 rebounds in 7.7 minutes across 13 appearances. He started for the first time on Dec. 7, totaling four points, five rebounds and two assists in 19 minutes.

The 20-year-old is averaging 16.8 points, 10.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 blocks on 35.7% shooting from 3-point range in four games with the Remix. He has registered two 20-point games, including a 21-point, nine-rebound effort on Nov. 16 in a loss to the South Bay Lakers.

The Trail Blazers were ecstatic to draft Yang, though the team believes he will need added improvement in some areas to see a consistent role. They are high on his potential and will continue to explore opportunities for him in the G League.
