Bryan Armetta shares his two favorite player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Wednesday’s two-game NBA slate.

An action-packed NBA Cup run has finally come to a close, with the Knicks crowned champions. Still, there’s plenty of NBA excitement in store for the remainder of the regular season. That gets started on Wednesday with a select two-game slate. To kick things off, the contending Cavaliers will visit the rival Bulls. Later, the Timberwolves will look to pick up another win over the Grizzlies.

There aren’t many options for bettors to choose from tonight. Still, that doesn’t mean there aren’t any enticing wagers on the board this evening. Here are my two favorite NBA player prop bet picks on DraftKings Sportsbook for Wednesday’s contests.

Top NBA prop bet picks

Jaylon Tyson 20+ points + rebounds (-130)

A calf strain will keep Evan Mobley off the floor for at least the next few weeks. Losing the reigning Defensive Player of the Year is a major blow to Cleveland, but not insurmountable. The Cavaliers have assembled a decent collection of frontcourt talent, including Jaylon Tyson. The former first round pick didn’t do much last season as a rookie. However, he’s taken a major leap in year two. Through 22 games, the 23-year-old has posted 13.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists. In addition, he’s shooting 53% from the field and an impressive 47% from three-point range.

Mobley’s injury has created even more opportunity for Tyson. Keep in mind, the youngster is only averaging just over 28 minutes per game. However, he’s logged 30+ during each of Cleveland’s previous seven contests. During that time, the forward has recorded 20+ points + rebounds on six different occasions. Tonight’s opponent, the Bulls, aren’t a formidable foe either. Chicago has surrendered the fifth-most points (122.4) and ninth-most rebounds (54.8) per game this season. That gives bettors even more reason to trust Tyson heading into Wednesday’s advantageous matchup.

Naz Reid 3+ three-pointers made (+110)

Rudy Gobert has been a key piece in the middle for Minnesota over the past few years. However, the Timberwolves are fortunate enough to roster multiple high-impact centers. Former Sixth Man of the Year Naz Reid remains an over-qualified sub up north. What the big man may lack in rebounding, he makes up for with elite offensive production. Over 26 games this season, he’s put up 13.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists while shooting 46% from the field. The veteran’s claim to fame is his three-point ability; Reid has knocked down 39% of his shots from long distance.

There’s a chance Anthony Edwards (foot) misses tonight’s game; he’s currently listed as questionable. With or without their best player, the Timberwolves should put up points. Wednesday’s matchup brings a lackluster Grizzlies squad to Minneapolis. Memphis’ perimeter defense has been vulnerable, allowing the fifth-most three-pointers made per game (14.5) to opponents. Reid comes into this one on a heater, having drained three or more 3PM in six of his last seven outings. In five of those games, he’s stayed on the floor for 30+ minutes. Minnesota’s stretch five should have ample opportunity to make his presence felt tonight.
