Ramona Shelburne at ESPN wrote an incredible, and I do mean incredible article.
Uh, that came out yesterday.
That was very, Very thorough deep dive into some of it.
And I think it was an important read, Caroline, because its easy for all of us to say, Oh my God, how could they do what they do?
And then, as you get more reporting, and you just stay calm and you read all of the Information.
I read.
That article, and I just kept walking away from it, saying, OK, makes sense.
As much as, uh, uh, many people wanted to Eviscerate the Clippers for deciding to just send Chris Paul home.
When you read the article to me, it just screams of, Hey, this team’s going down the, the, the tubes.

Everything’s not working the right way.
Chris Paul is not staying in his lane in any way, shape, or form.
He’s letting everybody else in the building know how to do their job while everybody is Failing in the process.
It just becomes grading, and that’s just one of those life lessons.
I think in almost any business.
So, to me, This spoke to what we thought might be the case.
The Clippers just wanted addition by Subtraction of not having the personality, not the basketball player, But the personality of CP3 in the room.
After reading this article where I’ve kind of Come out to, which maybe isn’t the hottest of all takes, I think they’re both in the wrong.

Like, I think that Chris Paul’s actions.
He did kind of have what was coming to him, the way that he was carrying himself.
I don’t blame the Clippers for wanting to cut ties and to avoid making a bad situation.
Which is what the Clippers’ season is on and off the court.
Even worse, and that’s what Chris Paul was doing.
So I understood the Clippers’ perspective, and I thought, shame on Chris Paul for putting Himself in that position.
But on the other side, The Clippers also have to understand what that does for their PR.
That I think the Clippers already have a bad reputation with fans, Probably have a bad reputation in League circles for treating their superstars like Trash.

Like we couldn’t have just made nice and looked Pretty for the cameras and said, “You know, hey, we need to move on from him.”
We can’t continue the rest of the season with Chris Paul.
But is there a better way for us to go about this?
Like, did anyone within the Clippers organization take a step back and breathe?
And think, what does this make us look like as an organization?
And how can we better massage this from a PR perspective?
