Miami enters Thursday night’s road game against the Brooklyn Nets in desperate need of a victory and they’ll be shorthanded once more.
According to Miami Heat insider Ira Winderman, the team will be without Tyler Herro, Pelle Larsson and Nikola Jovic. Their highest leading scorer, Norman Powell has been listed as questionable due to calf discomfort. Over a quarter of the way into the season, this will be Herro’s 21st game missed due to injury.
Although Miami has four other players averaging 10 or more points per game, playing without both Powell and Herro would prove to be quite difficult. The duo has combined for over 47 points per game, the only 20+ points per game scorers on the roster.

If Powell was unable to suit up, the trio of Bam Adebayo, Andrew Wiggins and Jaime Jaquez Jr. would take on the added scoring responsibility.
On the other side, the 7-18 Nets are playing some of their best basketball of the season. Brooklyn has won four of their last six games, including their biggest win of the season which came in their last matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Nets dominated that matchup from start to finish, defeating Milwaukee by 45 points.
Following Thursday’s game in Brooklyn, the Heat will travel to Boston to face the Celtics on the second night of a back-to-back Friday.
