Julius Randle produced 24 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Timberwolves, while Jaden McDaniels scored 21 points and Naz Reid added 20 points and 11 rebounds. Reid is the only player in the NBA this season to have multiple games of 20 points and 10 rebounds off the bench.
The Grizzlies improved to 8-3 over their last 11 games on Monday, defeating the LA Clippers 121-103. They outscored the Clippers 52-38 in the paint and improved to 6-3 this season when shooting at least 50% from the field.
Jaren Jackson Jr. led the Grizzlies with a season-high 31 points, Cam Spencer tallied a career-high 27 points and six assists and Jaylen Wells added 16 points and five rebounds. Jackson registered his first 30-point game since also scoring 31 points on March 15.
The Grizzlies and Timberwolves are meeting for the first of four matchups. Memphis won the season series last year, 2-1, and has taken 12 out of the last 21 overall.
