After becoming the first 18-year-old to score 40 or more points in a single NBA game earlier in the week, Dallas Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg has had his highest trading card sale to date, nearly doubling his previous record.
Flagg’s one-of-one 2025 Topps Chrome Silver Pack autographed Superfractor rookie card sold for $180,000 through a Fanatics Collect auction Thursday night. The sale far exceeds the previous record for a Flagg card set in late June when his autographed 2024-25 Bowman Chrome U Superfractor (a college card) inscribed “From the 207” (the area code for his home state of Maine) sold for $97,600.

It’s no surprise that this latest sale far exceeded the Bowman Chrome U card, since NBA rookie cards are generally more desirable than college cards among collectors. The Silver Pack Superfractor was only available in the special bonus packs that came with hobby boxes of 2025 Topps Basketball. It features a throwback design based on the 1980 Topps set.
While Flagg has other one-of-one Superfractor rookie cards that could challenge this sale for the top spot, his most valuable and sought-after card will be his NBA Debut Patch card, which will include the special jersey patch Flagg wore during his first NBA game earlier this season. This is part of a new program introduced by the NBA and Topps, as the latter reacquired the league’s trading card rights this year. The Flagg Debut Patch card will likely be the biggest since Topps’ Paul Skenes MLB Debut Patch card sold at auction for $1.1 million to Dick’s Sporting Goods as a display piece in one of its stores back in March. Topps has not yet announced which set the first batch of NBA Debut Patch cards will be included in or when it will be released.
