SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — The Utah Jazz announced an upcoming jersey exchange after Ryan and Ashley Smith offered 2,000 mountain basketball jerseys to exchange with fans.
The event, scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 20, was inspired by what officials called “the overwhelming response” from fans at the first jersey exchange of the season in October.
“A couple of months ago we did a jersey exchange, and it was amazing to see the energy from fans. It inspired us to do something really special this holiday season,” said Ryan and Ashley Smith, owners of the Utah Jazz. “We purchased 2,000 mountain basketball jerseys as our gift to Jazz fans to celebrate and show love.”
The event is free to the public and will begin at 10 a.m. at the Delta Center.
Fans will be required to bring an official Utah Jazz jersey to swap for a Mountain Basketball, City Edition, or Icon jersey.
Participants will also get two free tickets to one of the five upcoming Jazz home games, which will take place on Dec. 23, Jan. 8, Jan. 22, Feb. 11, and Mar. 19.
The event will last until 1:30 p.m., or until all the jerseys and tickets are gone.
