Zach Thompson details his best player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Saturday night’s game between the Hornets and Pistons.

The NBA is back to fill up this Saturday with plenty of action throughout the afternoon and evening. The NBA TV tripleheader starts with the Rockets and Nuggets before the Hornets and Pistons meet in prime time in the Motor City.  This Eastern Conference showdown offers some fascinating players on each side of the matchup, offering some entertaining player prop bets to consider on DraftKings Sportsbook.

In the bigger picture of the matchup, the Pistons are heavy 10.5-point home favorites, with the game total set at 233.5. This will be the first matchup between these teams this season.

Both teams had Friday off after opposite results on Thursday. The Pistons took a rare loss, falling to 21-6 after losing in overtime to the Mavericks in Dallas. Charlotte improved to 9-18 by knocking off the Hawks in Charlotte, giving it impressive wins over the Raptors, Cavs and Hawks in its last five contests.

With both Cade Cunningham and LaMelo Ball healthy, it should be a fun Eastern Conference matchup, so let’s jump in and check out my top player prop bets for Saturday night.

Hornets at Pistons Best Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

LaMelo Ball over 30.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-107)

Ball missed three games with a left ankle bone bruise, but he looked sharp in his return against the Hawks on Thursday, finishing with 28 points, 13 assists and four rebounds. He went well over this prop line with 45 PRA (points, rebounds and assists).

On the season, he’s averaging 19.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 8.8 assists for 34.5 PRA per game. Not counting the game he left early with his injury, he has gone over this prop line in three straight and in six of his last nine, coming up just short with 29 PRA in one of those misses.

Against the Pistons, Ball went well over this prop line with 39 PRA and 50 PRA in their two matchups last season.

He definitely didn’t seem to be dealing with any limitations in his first game back from injury, and getting him at this level seems like a great value in this matchup.

Tobias Harris under 12.5 points (-108)

Harris didn’t have a single point on Thursday against the Mavericks, going 0-for-5 from the field in his 18 minutes. While I don’t think he’ll be held scoreless again, I do think his role in the rotation is shrinking, and he will likely come in under this points scored prop.

Harris has been held under this prop line in three of his last four games and in 10 of his last 17.

With Jaden Ivey, Ron Holland II and Ausar Thompson all healthy and Isaiah Stewart playing more time alongside Jalen Duren in a bigger lineup, the team seems to be planning on moving Harris’s expiring contract at the deadline. He still has the potential for a bounce-back game, but with minutes hard to come by for Harris, he should come in under this prop.

Kon Knueppel over 3.5 assists (+109)

The Hornets have had multiple injuries and rotation adjustments throughout the season, but one consistent contributor has been impressive rookie Kon Knueppel, who is averaging 19.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 34 minutes per game.

While his 3.6 assists per game on the season put this number on the board at plus money, he has been regularly over this number in his most recent contests. Knueppel has gone over this prop in eight of his last nine games, and he went way over this prop on Thursday, when he dished seven assists alongside Ball’s big return.

The No. 4 overall pick from Duke has been excellent all season, and with better pieces around him, he should continue to get more assists.

Bonus Parlay Pick: Isaiah Stewart over 8.5 points (-108)

If you’re shopping for a fourth leg for your Same Game Parlay (SGP) or SGPx, you can add in this Beef Stew points prop to boost your four legs to +1200 as you can see below.

Stewart had 14 points on Thursday and has gone over this prop line in four of his last five games and in 14 of his last 22. He’s picking up some of Harris’s minutes, and I think that trend will continue in this matchup against Charlotte.
