Per the injury report, Joel Embiid is OUT tonight due to right injury management and illness #Sixers

As the Philadelphia 76ers prepare to take on the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday on the second night of a back-to-back, they already knew they would be short-handed. The Sixers knew they would be without Kelly Oubre Jr., Trendon Watford, and Paul George, but they will now be without the star big man again.

Joel Embiid will miss his second straight game due to right knee injury management and illness. He missed Friday’s win over the New York Knicks due to the issues so the Sixers will have to battle against a tough Mavericks team without Embiid.

While Embiid is sidelined, the Mavericks will have Anthony Davis, PJ Washington, and Daniel Gafford for this contest. Philadelphia will need Andre Drummond and Adem Bona to handle the rebounding department on its end of things.

The Sixers will look to pick up another win when they take on the Mavericks at 7 p.m. EST. They will have Sunday and Monday off before taking on the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday.
