The Chicago Bulls have never ascended back to the heights of the Michael Jordan Bulls of the ’90s.

But on Sunday, they found their way to one piece of history that hasn’t been done since MJ was doing his thing in the Windy City.

The Bulls did it by scoring 83 points in the first half Sunday evening.

The last time the Bulls scored that many points in a first half? It was 1997-98, also known as The Last Dance season.

Even these Bulls aren’t especially remarkable. They’re just 12-15 on the season entering Sunday’s game.

But in the modern NBA, teams can get up and down and make shots and score. The offensive efficiency, at times, is at an all-time high.

That allowed the Bulls to join history with Jordan. That’s never bad company to keep, no matter how you get there.
