The Golden State Warriors will look to build on their winning momentum with a tough test coming to town: the Orlando Magic.
The Magic are a top-10 net-rated team, and new addition Desmond Bane has scored 30+ in two of their last four games.
Golden State’s star forward, Jimmy Butler, spoke with the media after the postgame victory about his return to prominence as a scorer, stating, “I got the ball more, if I’m being honest.”
A more aggressive Butler, serving as 1B to Curry’s 1A instead of a fringe second option, is the recipe for success for the Warriors, and they will prove that truth tonight against Orlando.

The Warriors’ depth played a major part in their latest victory, led by rookie Will Richard’s 20-point masterclass.
Richard, again proving his belonging in the rotation, goes beyond his scoring ability.
Against an athletic Orlando squad, dictating the pace will be key, and Richard’s IQ will be very useful.
Making the timely cuts and quick-trigger threes in transition before the defense is set play to Richard’s strengths.
It will require quick decisions and sublime ball movement to keep the Magic out of rhythm.
Stephen Curry, coming off a 28-point game, may exceed those numbers in what has the potential to turn into a shootout that will undoubtedly favor the Warriors.
This win tonight may be the catalyst Golden State needs
Golden State sits third in the league in defensive rating.
No Franz Wagner or Jalen Suggs for Orlando means a Paolo Banchero with the ultimate green light. The Warriors will need great discipline.

Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler are up for the task of containing Banchero, but communication will be key in absorbing the physicality Banchero will attempt to lean into.
Not overrelying on help defenders, moving the ball at a high rate, and controlling the pace will give the Warriors their best chance at a victory tonight.
As the Warriors continue their consistent starting five, more defined roles for their bench unit will emerge, creating a stellar cast with tremendous potential to be one of the best bench units in the league.
