Phoenix Suns guard Grayson Allen is listed as doubtful for Tuesday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers due to right knee soreness.
Knee soreness also held Allen out of the Suns’ two most recent games, both against the Golden State Warriors. He last played Dec. 14 against the Lakers and totaled 13 points, seven assists and three steals.
If he is unable to suit up on Tuesday, it will be the 11th game he will miss this season. Seven of those came because of a right quad contusion, and the eighth was due to an illness.
Jalen Green remains out and is expected to be re-evaluated in “two-to-three” more weeks due to a right hamstring strain that has kept him out of all but two games this season.
“Still great progress,” Suns coach Jordan Ott said at practice on Monday regarding Green’s injury. “I think everything’s headed in the right direction. Everything seems to be good.”
Jordan Goodwin will be available to play while still wearing a facemask to protect his sprained jaw.
Lakers injury report vs. Suns
For the Lakers, former Suns center Deandre Ayton was not listed on the injury report and is expected to make his return on Tuesday night after missing two games because of left elbow soreness.
Luka Doncic, Rui Hachimura and Gabe Vincent were all ruled out, while Austin Reaves is questionable.
Doncic suffered a left leg contusion Saturday when kneed by Los Angeles Clippers guard Bogdan Bogdanovic, forcing him to miss the entire second half.
Hachimura will miss his second straight game due to right groin soreness, and Vincent is out because of a lumbar strain that has sidelined him for the past two games.
Reaves has missed the Lakers’ previous three games with a left calf strain, but could make his return Tuesday.
Suns-Lakers tips off at 6 p.m. on Tuesday and can be heard on 98.7 and the Arizona Sports app.
