The Indiana Pacers invaded Madison Square Garden for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals on Wednesday night looking for the upper hand. The New York Knicks, making their first conference finals appearance since 2000, were looking to take advantage of the home court advantage.
With the Knicks leading by 17 in the fourth quarter, it looked like it was over. Instead, All-Star Tyrese Haliburton and Aaron Nesmith led the Pacers on an incredible comeback in the final minutes to stun the Knicks 138-135 in overtime. Haliburton hit a shot that hit the back of the rim, floated in the air, and dropped in at the buzzer to force overtime and give the Pacers new life.
