The 2025 NBA Draft is fast approaching, and at this point in time, six Aussies have nominated themselves for selection.
While this year’s class of Aussies may not be as highly touted as those in recent years – uch as Dyson Daniels or Josh Giddey – each prospect offers a unique skill set that has caught the attention of NBA front offices.
Here is a breakdown of each of them, including their approximate draft range.
Alex Toohey: SF/PF, Sydney Kings
Age: 21
Size: 6’8”, 222.8 lbs (2.03m, 101kg)
Draft Range: Late First/Early Second Round Pick
Alex Toohey ended his second NBL season with the Sydney Kings averaging 10.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game, shooting 45% from the field, 73% from the line, and 31% from three point range.

Toohey projects as a high-IQ wing, capable of contributing to winning on both sides of the ball. During his second season with the Kings, he showcased his ability to make plays in transition and off the catch, while also displaying improved defensive and playmaking instincts.
As a jack-of-all-trades forward, his ability to carve out a role at the next level is likely to hinge on the consistency of his jumper, after shooting just 28% from three over two seasons in Sydney. At the NBA Draft Combine, he shot 61% on jump shots across all shooting drills, including 15-of-25 on the three-point star drill – a promising sign that his jumper can continue to develop.
Toohey was projected at No.39 in ESPN’s post-lottery mock draft, but draft analyst Jonathan Givony stated his strong showing at the Combine has given him “a much stronger case for first-round consideration than he had coming in.”
Alex Condon: C, Florida
Age: 20
Size: 6’11”, 221.8 lbs (2.11m, 101kg)
Draft Range: Late First/Early Second Round Pick
2025 NCAA champion Alex Condon has until May 28 to decide whether to return to Florida or keep his name in the draft. Current reports suggest a return to college is more likely, despite the Perth native being considered a near-lock to be a top 40 selection.
As the starting center for the national champion Florida Gators, Condon averaged 10.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game, along with a team-leading 1.3 blocks. He also shot 33% from distance, intriguing NBA teams with his potential as a stretch 5.
Condon offers a unique skillset as a big, with his playmaking ability, high motor, and versatility on both sides of the floor offering plenty to be excited about. However, there are major concerns about his fit at the next level due to his size. At 221.8 lbs, Condon weighs less than Toohey despite being approximately three inches taller. This has raised doubts about his ability to hold his own physically in the low post against NBA centers.
Condon is currently awaiting a guarantee from an NBA team in the 20–35 range before deciding whether to remain in the draft. If he returns to Florida, expect his name to be in first-round consideration in 2026.
Rocco Zikarsky: C, Brisbane Bullets
Age: 18
Size: 7’3”, 257 lbs (2.20m, 117kg)
Draft Range: Mid/Late Second Round Pick
Rocco Zikarsky is a polarizing prospect with extremely high upside. The 18-year-old appeared in just 18 games for the Brisbane Bullets during the 2025 season, averaging 4.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 0.6 blocks per game in limited minutes. After starting the season as high as #6 on some mock drafts, injuries and limited production has seen the Queenslander tumble down draft boards.
However, there is substantial intrigue surrounding the 7-foot-3, 18-year-old due to his shot-blocking instincts and fluid mobility for a player of his size. He excels as a lob threat and projects as a rim-protecting big in a similar mould to recent draft picks such as Dereck Lively II, Jalen Duren, and Walker Kessler.
Zikarsky’s size and rim protection are likely to convince a team to gamble a second round pick on his tremendous long-term upside, even as a developmental project expected to spend time honing his skills in the G League.

Tyrese Proctor: PG/SG, Duke
Age: 21
Size: 6’4”, 183.2 lbs (1.94m, 83kg)
Draft Range: Mid/Late Second Round Pick
Tyrese Proctor’s third season at Duke ended in disappointment, with a narrow loss to Houston in the Final Four. Still, he showcased his improved jumper during March Madness, hitting 15 three-pointers in Duke’s first two games of the tournament.
He finished the season averaging 12.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game, while shooting 45% from the field and 41% from beyond the arc. Starting every game on a stacked Duke roster led by projected No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg, Proctor showcased his high basketball IQ, improved shot-making ability, and ability to play both on and off the ball. He thrived as a catch-and-shoot threat, as well as in his decision making in transition.
Proctor’s play at Duke this past season offered a glimpse into his NBA fit as a high IQ guard who can defend, space the floor, and make sharp passing reads. Despite a tough finish to the season with the Blue Devils, Proctor has likely shown enough to warrant a selection in the top 50.
Lachlan Olbrich: C/PF, Illawarra Hawks
Age: 21
Size: 6’9”, 230.2 lbs (2.06m, 104kg)
Draft Range: Late Second Round Pick/Undrafted
One of the surprises of the draft process so far has been the rise of Lachlan Olbrich. The 2025 NBL champion impressed scouts at the G League Elite Camp, averaging 15.5 points and 8.5 rebounds over two games. His performance earned him a call-up to the NBA Draft Combine, where he continued to stand out – posting 15 points on 7-of-8 shooting along with 10 rebounds.
Physically, there are questions about whether Olbrich’s size will translate to the NBA, as an undersized big who rarely shoots the three. While Olbrich may not be the biggest or most athletic center, his scoring touch as a roll man, cutter, and finisher around the rim with both hands shouldn’t be overlooked.
He showcased that skill set in Game 5 of the 2025 NBL Finals, thriving in the absence of Sam Froling as both a scorer and a playmaker.
His ability to pass from the low post, combined with his offensive rebounding (3.9 OREB per 36 minutes with Illawarra) and high motor, could make him an intriguing late second-round flyer.
Ben Henshall: SG/SF, Perth Wildcats
Age: 20
Size: 6’5”, 193.4 lbs (1.96m, 88kg)
Draft Range: Late Second Round Pick/Undrafted
Ben Henshall surprised many with his productivity in just his second season with his hometown Perth Wildcats. As a starter for most of the season, Henshall averaged 9.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game, and shot 36% from three.
Playing alongside NBL great Bryce Cotton, Henshall was able to contribute offensively as a spot-up shooter and cutter. He also showed improved shot-creation ability, particularly when coming off on-ball screens for floaters and mid range jump shots.
Henshall didn’t do much to stand out at the Combine, making just 12-of-25 on the three-point star drill and finishing with 6 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 turnovers in the scrimmage. He’ll look to convince teams in workouts to take a chance on his improved shot-making ability, and show that his defense can translate at the next level.
