The Dallas Mavericks are hoping to right the ship tonight with a home game against the Denver Nuggets.
The two teams have played in two of the last three NBA Finals and the Nuggets are trending toward competing for another championship with a 21-7 record on the season.

The Mavs meanwhile are languishing far behind with an 11-19 mark heading into tonight’s game.
The injury report for Dallas gives a clue as to why coach Jason Kidd’s team has struggled lately as three key players were listed apart from those who were already out.
Six Key Mavericks Listed on Injury Report
The injury report shows a team wrecked with injuries as key players are listed.
Among them are guard Klay Thompson, who is listed as doubtful with left knee soreness, forward P.J. Washington, listed questionable with right midfoot soreness, guard Max Christie, who is doubtful with an illness, and guard Brandon Williams, who is questionable with a right ankle sprain.

Center Dereck Lively II and guard Kyrie Irving are also listed as out giving the Mavericks plenty of concerns heading into tonight’s 8 p.m. ET matchup.
Forward Cooper Flagg, who has battled back problems lately, was not listed on the report.
Nuggets Strong Favorites on the Road
The Nuggets are listed as 6.5 to 7.5 point favorites on the road for tonight’s game at the American Airlines Center, which will feature a battle of two of the league’s most dynamic big men in Nikola Jokic and Flagg.

Flagg has improved his scoring in recent weeks while Jokic is averaging a triple double on 60-plus percent shooting from the field.
Dallas’ depleted front line will be tested with Jokic angling for a fourth MVP award this season and a lack of size and depth among the Mavericks’ current available players.
Tonight’s game has the makings of a high scoring one if Flagg keeps up his torrid pace.
The Mavericks’ fans haven’t given up on their team yet but things are going to start looking even more grim if Kidd’s team doesn’t start stringing a few wins together soon.
