Ball came into the night with averages of 19.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 8.6 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 39.6% from the field and 33.3% from three-point range in 19 games.
He is in his sixth season (all with the Hornets).

With their victory over the Wizards, the Hornets improved to 10-20 in 30 games, which has them as the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference.
They have gone 4-6 over their last ten games (and are 7-8 at home).
Following the Wizards, the Hornets will play their next game on Friday night when they visit Desmond Bane and the Orlando Magic in Florida.

As for the Wizards, they dropped to 5-23 in 28 games, which has them as the 15th seed in the Eastern Conference.
They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak (and 3-7 over their last ten).
Following the Hornets, the Wizards will play their next game on Friday night when they host Brandon Ingram and the Toronto Raptors in Washington, D.C.
