The Central Catholic girls’ basketball team earned a 43–36 non-league victory over Ottawa Hills on Monday night in the Sullivan Center. With the home win, the Fighting Irish improve to 3–5 on the season.
Central Catholic set the tone early, jumping out to an 18–9 lead after the first quarter. Senior G Marissa Justen sparked the fast start, knocking down a pair of three-pointers and scoring eight points in the opening period.
Justen led the Scarlet & Gray with a team-high 13 points, while Central Catholic received balanced scoring from senior G Serinity Bolden (8 points), senior G Nina Stevens (7 points), and junior G Madison Stricker (7 points).
Ottawa Hills was paced by Kendell Skiver, who finished with a contest-best 17 points for the Green Bears.
Earlier in the evening, the Central Catholic junior varsity squad picked up a 42–22 home victory.
