The all-star forward was ruled out for the remainder of Thursday’s contest against the Golden State Warriors due to right-groin spasms, the Mavericks announced.
Davis was making his way up the court early in the second quarter when he appeared to step awkwardly. The 10-time all-star looked to be in visible pain before gingerly making his way off the court.
According to ESPN’s Malika Andrews on the broadcast, Dallas opted to keep Davis out for the rest of the game with an “abundance of caution.”
He then received treatment while staying on the Mavericks bench for some time before exiting to the locker room area.
Davis left Thursday’s game after just 11 minutes of action, putting up three points on 1-of-4 shooting to go with three rebounds, two blocks and a steal.
The oft-injured 32-year-old entered the day averaging 21.7 points, 11.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.5 blocks through 15 appearances. Davis previously missed 16 games this season due to a calf injury.
