With the NBA draft right around the corner, now is the time to look at some past drafts and see what the Philadelphia 76ers have done in their history. The Sixers have selected some big-time players in the past who have become an important part of the fabric of the franchise’s history.
This series continues by remaining in the 2005 draft. The Sixers made a selection by bringing in Lou Williams, but they also brought in an undrafted player in big man Shavlik Randolph. After a solid 3-year run at Duke, Randolph was undrafted and the Sixers swooped in and signed him to a deal.

In three seasons with the Sixers, a span of 79 games with seven starts, Randolph averaged 2.5 points and 2.5 rebounds before leaving to join the Portland Trail Blazers in 2008.
Randolph then played for the Miami Heat and the Blazers in 2009-10 before playing overseas for two seasons. He returned to the NBA in 2012 and played for the Boston Celtics and the Phoenix Suns for a total of eight NBA seasons.
