OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Our Blood Institute is partnering with the Oklahoma City Thunder for a week of holiday blood drives across the state.
The drives start on Saturday, December 27 and will go through Friday, January 2.
One of blood drives will be held at the River Spirit Casino in Tulsa on Monday, December 29 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Every donor at the participating blood drives will receive an Oklahoma City Thunder T-shirt and a ticket to an upcoming Thunder game while supplies last. Donors at the Paycom Center drive on December 27 will receive an exclusive J-Will T-shirt and a chance to meet J-Will after the drive.
“Thunder fans always show up for their community, and this partnership turns that spirit into real impact for patients,” said Dr. John Armitage, president and CEO of Our Blood Institute. “These holiday blood drives help ensure hospitals have the blood they need when donations are often harder to come by.”
Anyone who is healthy and 16 year old or older can donate blood. Donations typically take about an hour. Appointments to donate can be made online here or by calling 877-340-8777. Walk-ins are also welcome.
