Terrence Shannon Jr. diagnosed with an abductor hallucis strain; will be reevaluated in 2 weeks

The Timberwolves might not see Terrence Shannon Jr. for a few weeks after he sustained an injury against the Denver Nuggets on Thursday.

Shannon underwent an MRI after he had to exit a game earlier this week when he began experiencing soreness in his left foot. The MRI revealed he had sustained a left foot abductor hallucis strain.

The Timberwolves did not say how long the injury might keep him off the court, but did say he would be reevaluated in two weeks.

It’s the second time this year Shannon has had to deal with a left foot injury. The guard previously sustained a bone bruise on his left foot, which sidelined him earlier in November.

For their next game, the Timberwolves host the Brooklyn Nets at 7 p.m. Saturday
