In Friday’s loss to the Hornets, Anthony Black led the way for the Magic as he recorded 24 points and four assists while Desmond Bane added 15 points, 10 rebounds and four assists of his own.

Now Orlando will try to bounce back on Saturday in the second game of a back-to-back as they face off against the Nuggets in a tough home matchup.

On the other side, Denver enters Saturday’s contest with a 22-8 record after defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves in overtime on Thursday night in their Christmas Day matchup.

Nikola Jokic led the way for the Nuggets in Thursday’s victory as he ended the game with 56 points, 16 rebounds and 15 assists while Jamal Murray recorded 35 points and 10 assists.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Saturday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

For the Nuggets, they have three players listed on their injury report as they have ruled out Cameron Johnson, Aaron Gordon and Christian Braun.

Denver has ruled out Johnson due to right knee injury management as he is expected to miss at least four weeks due to a bone bruise in his right knee.

With Johnson sidelined, Bruce Brown and Tim Hardaway Jr. will likely continue to have larger roles.

On the other side, the Magic have four players listed on their injury report, including both Jalen Suggs and Franz Wagner.

Orlando has listed Suggs as doubtful due to a left hip contusion and he is expected to miss his sixth consecutive game.
