Phoenix came into Saturday night without Jalen Green, Grayson Allen, or Ryan Dunn, and still asserted their dominance offensively. Dillon Brooks has become truly a second highlight scorer next to Devin Booker. Collin Gillespie’s ability to shoot off the dribble has been paramount for the Suns’ offense, and his straightforward shooting skills are giving glimpses of former Phoenix legend Steve Nash. Gillespie ended the first half with 15 points and went 5-for-5 from the three point line.

The Suns will need to rely on their youth and depth as they maneuver through the rest of Saturday night’s matchup. When Booker and Brooks take time to recover, if the depth of Jamaree Bouyea, Oso Ighodoro, and Rasheer Flemming can take over, Phoenix will have the necessary pieces to keep adjusting against New Orleans in the second half and keep the pressure on.
