ATLANTA — Josh Hart is missing at least two more games with his sprained right ankle, league sources said.
The starting forward, who already was ruled out of Saturday’s 128-125 win over the Hawks, did not travel on the team’s road trip. He’ll also sit Monday in New Orleans and Wednesday in San Antonio.
Hart’s status will be updated before the Knicks host the Hawks on Jan. 2, a source said.

Hart suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of the victory over the Cavaliers on Christmas, when his foot twisted on defender Dean Wade. Hart subsequently hit two free throws — he was fouled on the play — and limped to the locker room.
Hart is averaging 12.3 points, eight rebounds and 5.1 assists in 28 games this season. The Knicks are 11-3 with him as a starter.
Another Knick, Landry Shamet, who is over a month removed from injuring his right shoulder, has progressed to on-court activities but isn’t yet taking contact, a league source said.
Shamet dislocated that same shoulder before last season. His contract becomes guaranteed Jan. 10.
Amid DNPs and trade talk, Guerschon Yabusele said his Knicks experience has been difficult as he tries to go with the flow.
It’s not what the French native anticipated after signing a two-year, $11 million contract in the summer.
“Clearly not. Otherwise I wouldn’t be here,” Yabusele said in an interview with French publication L’Equipe, as translated by Google. “It’s difficult. I’m saying this without hesitation. It’s very difficult to deal with mentally. I’m a competitor, I like making mistakes, improving, learning.
“Besides, I’m not necessarily at my best at the beginning of my seasons, but rather with time and my ability to adapt, [I get better]. In New York, too, I needed to adapt and see how everyone plays. If the coach thinks I shouldn’t play, for reasons that are his own, I have to accept it, unfortunately. And stay positive for the good of the team. Things will change when they need to change.”
