The Brooklyn Nets have plenty of decisions to make with the 2025 NBA Draft taking place in late June, especially since they have four first-round picks to use. Brooklyn’s first pick in the Draft will be at the No. 8 spot and while they could take a number of players there that are expected to make an impact, Nets general manager Sean Marks is still evaluating players in person.
NBA Draft expert Jonathan Givony posted a video Wednesday on X that gave a summary of what happened in Los Angeles where Klutch Sports Group was holding its pro day ahead of the Draft. The players shown in the video are Duke center Khaman Maluach, Saint Joseph forward Rasheer Fleming, Florida guard Walter Clayton Jr., and Chinese forward Hansen Yang.

Marks being at this pro day is significant from the standpoint that it’s another chance to see players that the team could draft in the first round, especially Maluach if he falls enough for the Nets to take him. Fleming and Clayton are expected to be taken somewhere in the first round outside of the Lottery while Yang is projected to be a second-round pick after what he’s shown at the Combine.
In addition to the eighth overall pick, Brooklyn has the 19th (via the Milwaukee Bucks), 26th (via the Houston Rockets), and 27th (via the New York Knicks) picks in the first round. In the second round, the Nets have the 36th pick that they can still take someone like Yang depending on how he performs during the rest of the predraft cycle that will happen for the next month.
In his latest mock draft for Bleacher Report, Jonathan Wasserman projected Brooklyn to take French forward Noa Essengue, yet another player who has seen his draft stock rise since the predraft process began. There is still a lot of time between now and when the Draft begins on June 25, but the Nets are still evaluating prospects as we speak, including in person at pro days like the one Klutch Sports had.
