The Utah Jazz are on the verge of an epic new chapter with the emergence of Keyonte George and a young core that is developing in a nice way. Here are three resolutions they can embrace to make this year even better.

Tank for the best pick possible

Utah has shown that this core has serious potential with nice wins over the San Antonio Spurs and the Detroit Pistons. They followed that up with a lackluster performance against the Celtics. What we can take from this is that there is a high ceiling for this team, especially Keyonte George. But it’s not enough to consistently win at the highest level. Utah’s defense is still not good enough to win consistently, and they lack the punch needed for nights when George and Markkanen might not have it. Adding one more top pick in the draft will give them another piece to build around that can help the Jazz win for years to come.

It’s time for illnesses, groin injuries, and back spasms for Keyonte George and Lauri Markkanen. But most especially, Keyonte George, who has become the best player on the Utah Jazz.

For some reason, the Jazz have been dead set on developing Svi Mykhailiuk this season. His starter minutes have held back the younger players from getting the time on the floor they need to improve. It’s also been the difference in games the Jazz have won by small margins. I want this to be very clear: THERE IS NO BENEFIT TO PLAYING Svi Mykhailiuk other than if a suitor is ready to trade for him. The Jazz have to recoup something to make up for the fact that they’ve won two overtime games this season with him playing and shooting well. Otherwise, it should go down as one of the most brainless sidenotes to the current Utah Jazz rebuild.

Trade a second-round pick for cash

This is advice for Ryan Smith and Austin Ainge. You cannot let that whiner, Sam Presti, have any sway over you. How do you fine-proof your team? Accumulate cash. Surely there is a team out there that would be interested in a second-round pick for $1M? Then, as Scam Presti whines to the league about things he himself did not too long ago, you have the cash to pay any fines. One thing the Jazz can’t do is let any villain like Scam Presti or Adam Slither try to ruin our goals. We decide our fate, we are the captain of this ship.
