Double dribbles, double teams, double-doubles (and triple-doubles, too!) — Is there a superstar out there who arrives better prepared for some smooth-flowing NBA on NBC celebrity broadcast analysis than a hip-hop mastermind like Snoop D-O-Double-G?
How to Watch

Probably not, and it’s a good thing, too — because Snoop Dogg himself is about to hold court as an official member of the NBC Sports broadcast team for his first-ever NBA game. Snoop will be behind the mic alongside veteran NBA on NBC announcers on January 5, when the Golden State Warriors face off against the Los Angeles Clippers in the third game of a huge NBA tripleheader slate on Peacock NBA Monday.

Snoop Dogg joins the Peacock NBA Monday broadcast team for Warriors vs. Clippers: What to know
The Golden State Warriors travel south to visit Snoop’s native LA for an NBA road game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday, January 5. Tipoff time is set for 10 p.m. ET from the Clippers’ home court at the Intuit Dome, with the Peacock NBA Monday game broadcasting live on Peacock.
With the Warriors’ Stephen Curry and the Clippers’ James Harden already on site, it’s not as if the Warriors-Clippers contest will be short on star power. But the buzz will definitely dial up during the game’s second half, when Snoop Dogg sits in with NBC Sports announcers Reggie Miller and Terry Gannon to play the analyst’s role in a way that only Snoop Dogg can.
Snoop’s already gearing up to reprise his role as an NBC Sports Olympic Games commentator when the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Games arrive on February 6 — so it’s safe to say he’s approaching his inaugural gig as an NBA sportscaster as more than just a funky one-off. To prepare for his big broadcast moment, Snoop’s been watching game film, attending team shootarounds, and taking part in NBC Sports production meetings… all to dish his unique courtside perspective to NBA viewers when game time finally arrives.
“This is a dream come true for me,” said Snoop — a noted Lakers fan who played local hoops at Long Beach Polytechnic High School — in an NBC Sports release. “I’m fired up to be joining Reggie Miller and Terry Gannon on the call for the Clippers-Warriors game on January 5th. I can’t wait to bring a fresh vibe to the analysis while celebrating the skills and strategy these teams bring every night.”

What to know about Snoop Dogg at the Milan Cortina Olympics
Snoop made a big impression with his fresh and fun Olympics debut during the Paris Olympics last summer. In a memorable and universally praised series of athlete interviews and behind-the-scenes segments, the renowned The Voice Coach seemed to be everywhere at the Summer Games — whether carrying the Olympic torch ahead of the Opening Ceremony, celebrating Team USA with Simone Biles, or watching equestrian with longtime pal Martha Stewart.
Now Snoop is donning his winter gear to do it all again from snowy northern Italy, teaming up with NBC Sports to lend his distinctive voice to coverage of the Milan Cortina Olympics. He’ll speak with NBC Olympics host Mike Tirico to provide U.S. prime time fans with chilled-out takes on everything that’s happening during NBC Sports’ Winter Olympics coverage. And, similar to Paris, he’ll be exploring the region’s iconic landmarks and culture, attending Olympic competitions, and cheering right alongside the athletes, their friends, and families.

On top of that, the popular segment “Snoop’s Greatest Hits” from the 2024 Summer Games will be back, where Snoop will team up with Tirico on the prime time set to riff on the day’s biggest stories and most unforgettable moments.
“The Olympics is the biggest stage in the world and, as everyone knows, I’m all about sports, bringing people together, and unifying while bringing the fun,” Snoop said of his upcoming date with Olympic greatness. “I’ll be bringing my puffy jackets, snow pants, goggles, skates (and will definitely be iced out).”
The 2026 Winter Olympics will air and stream exclusively on NBC and Peacock in February of 2026. Meanwhile, NBC and Peacock are the place to be each week during the NBA regular season with streaming-exclusive matchups on Peacock NBA Monday — plus NBC and Peacock prime time contests on Coast 2 Coast Tuesday that are perfect for every time zone.
