The V.J.
Edgecombe portion, and the addition of him just attacking matchups, Like, it’s obvious they’ve enjoyed the spacing to allow him to get downhill and drive.
But kind of some late-game stuff where it’s like, “Hey, You and Tyrese Maxey screen for each other.
Andah, Yes.
… “We feel like we have a mismatch.”
And y’all play out of it.
That adds a whole different layer to the late game, because normally you’re thinking, Okay, it’s going to be an Embiid screen, or it’s going to be Paul George.
No.
Those two are going to go ahead and play off each other and, And make it tough and keep pressure on defenses.

How have you enjoyed that portion of the season, guys?
It’s been neat.
I was like… Ooh, yes, Neil.
I, too, would like to talk about the end of Sixers-Grizzlies.
But, no.
It’s been interesting, and like getting The numbers for it, like, they are not going to speak to this being a good thing.
At least not yet.
Uh, with Max with VJ screening for Tyrese.
Maxey in pick-and-roll, 0.93 points per possession as of recording.
Which is, like, fine, right?
Mm-hmm.
With Maxey screening for VJ, it’s 0.76 points per possession.
Which is just not very good.
But for me, it’s more so, To your point, the fact that they are comfortable going to it, I think it sends a signal.

And then beyond that, the way that they space around it is really smart.
And because both of these guys could just win drives, like, You don’t need much for them to generate something solid.
That’s where I go back to the end of that Grizzlies game.
It’s just like, okay, well, it’s Maxey’s turn.
Shot.
Maxey’s turn, drive.
Drive and kick.
Okay, now it’s VJ’s turn.
He’s got to switch.
I have a shot off movement, or I can get downhill too.
And it’s just, like, the scenes of this, like, I don’t…
The numbers are what they are.
It’s just logging the possessions.
But, like, concept-wise, process-wise, I don’t really care what the efficiency numbers are.
Right now.
Wow.
Like, the fact that they can get to this Mm-hmm.
… Are comfortable getting to this, and some of the shots they are generating on these looks, I’m here for it.
