Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bucks players talk about last-second loss to Wizards
Giannis Antetokounmpo, AJ Green, Kevin Porter Jr. and Bobby Portis Jr. speak on the Bucks’ last second loss to Wizards on Dec. 31, 2025.
Coming off one of their most disheartening losses of a disheartening season, the Milwaukee Bucks look to bounce back at home against the Charlotte Hornets on Friday, Jan. 2.
The Bucks lost a three-point lead in the last 33 seconds, falling to the then-7-24 Washington Wizards, 114-113, on Wednesday, Dec. 31.
After the game, Giannis Antetokounmpo talked at length about what Milwaukee (14-20) needs to do to start winning consistently. He’s been on a minutes restriction after returning from injury Dec. 27, but he has averaged 28.7 points in 26 minutes in the three games since.

The Bucks are playing the Hornets for the second time in three games. They won, 123-113, at Charlotte on Dec. 29, but the Hornets were missing Milwaukee native and rookie of the year contender Kon Knueppel, who had an ankle injury.
Knueppel’s back, though, and he lit up the Bucks for 32 points in their previous Fiserv Forum game this season, a 147-134 Bucks overtime victory Nov. 14.
