The Brooklyn Nets (10-22) are on a three-game losing streak that has seen them play some of its worst basketball since the beginning of the season, especially considering how well they played in December. Brooklyn has been dealing with some injuries to begin January, but they have another test on Sunday against the Denver Nuggets (23-11) and if you’re wondering how you can watch all the action live, you’ve come to the right place!
The Nets come into this game following a 119-99 loss at the Washington Wizards on Friday in which Brooklyn began the game with a 13-point deficit in the first quarter and never posed a threat for the rest of the game. Center Day’Ron Sharpe had 14 points and nine rebounds in his first start of the season in place of starter Nic Claxton (personal reasons) while guard Terance Mann had 14 points and two assists.

Advice and Prediction
The Nets had been playing like one of the best teams in the league during the month of December, but the past three games have seen them play nothing like they did heading into 2026. In each of the last three games, Brooklyn has given up at least 119 points to its opponent and even with some starters out of the lineup, this team has played better basketball under head coach Jordi Fernandez.
The Nuggets have been one of the best teams in the league this season, but they are also dealing with some key injuries heading into this game, including the absence of perennial MVP candidate in center Nikola Jokic. Denver is also missing forward Cam Johnson and center Jonas Valanciunas and could be missing guard Christian Braun and forward Aaron Gordon as well so Jamal Murray could have another game of heavy lifting on his hands.

The Nets and Nuggets rank towards the bottom of the league in terms of defensive rating and pace, but the offensive side of the floor is what separates these two teams in a massive way. Brooklyn places as one of the worst teams in the NBA in offensive rating while Denver ranks as the best offensive team so it will be interesting to see if the Nuggets can play that way on Sunday.
Prediction: Nets 115, Nuggets 110
