King of the Court is back every Tuesday on DraftKings Sportsbook! Garion Thorne makes a couple contrarian picks for tonight’s slate.

DraftKings will be running it’s popular King of the Court promo on tonight’s six-game NBA slate. Users who opt have the chance to split $1 million in bonus bets by placing a player prop bet on the DraftKings Sportsbook on the player who ultimately leads that night in total points, rebounds and assists.

Seems simple enough, right? Why wouldn’t you just place a bet on the highest usage option on that slate and call it a day? Well, the bonus bet split is smaller depending on how popular the player is with the betting public, so there could be some value in taking a contrarian approach.

With that in mind, here are a couple under the radar King of the Court picks for Tuesday night’s basketball action.

King of the Court Value Picks

Anthony Black, Magic at Wizards

Common sense would dictate that Paolo Banchero is the Orlando player to back on Tuesday night, as it’s the former first-overall pick that leads the Magic in assist rate (23.1%) and sits second in rebounding rate (11.2%) since Franz Wagner suffered his ankle injury back on December 7. At the same time, Banchero has been very inconsistent in 2025-26, even having a three-game stretch within the past three weeks where he failed to score more than 13 points in a start. That could open the door for a teammate to lead Orlando in PRA — and hopefully the whole slate.

I’d keep an eye on Anthony Black, who was thrust into the Magic’s starting lineup by the same Wagner ailment. Black’s also seen his usage and role increase with a subsequent injury to Jalen Suggs (knee). That’s translated into recent performances of 49 PRA and 43 PRA within his last five games, with the former tied to a career-high 38 points versus the Nuggets on December 27. Meanwhile, the Wizards sport the Eastern Conference’s worst defensive rating (121.3) and its fifth-highest pace (102.0). You won’t find a better matchup on this slate.

Associated Prop Bet: Anthony Black 31+ Points + Rebounds + Assists (-105)

Kel’el Ware, Heat at Timberwolves

I feel like Kel’el Ware is sort of the perfect lottery ticket for the King of the Court format. Is the sophomore big man likely to lead the whole slate in PRA? Of course not. He averages 12.4 points per contest for the season as a whole. However, on the range of possible outcomes, Ware’s 100th percentile statistical output can be right up there with any asset taking the floor this evening.

To wit, Ware ranks second in the NBA in rebounds per 36 minutes (15.2), while his rebounding rate of 22.1% leads all qualified players. Already this season, Ware’s set new career-highs in points (28) and rebounds (20), with the former coming in a December 21 matchup against the Knicks. That night, Ware also grabbed 19 boards in 34.5 minutes of action, showcasing what the 21-year-old can accomplish when given the proper runway. It doesn’t hurt that the Heat lead the league in pace, either (104.7). More possessions mean more possible rebounding opportunities, after all.

Associated Prop Bet: Kel’el Ware 11+ Rebounds (+121)
