Why did Raptors waive Mo Bamba?
They had to get rid of Bamba before Wednesday’s de facto deadline for salaries becoming guaranteed.
They save some money with this move:
The Raptors can then work the system forward by bringing Bamba back on a pair of 10-day deals, Smith added in a follow up tweet.
Bamba played just six total minutes across three games in this quick stint with the Raptors. That included a pair of rebounds and a single block as his only recorded stats.

Toronto might bring him back, but even then, Bamba won’t be a major contributor, even with Jakob Poeltl hurt.
