After losing to Northwestern in the 2024 regular season, Boston College beat the Wildcats 14-13 to win the national championship. Northwestern built a 6-0 lead in that final game, but the Eagles slowly picked away at the deficit and completed the comeback.
The Wildcats and Eagles faced each other earlier this season too. It was Boston College who got out to the 6-0 lead in the 2025 regular season game, but it was too much for Northwestern to come back from. BC won 13-9, and eventually earned the No. 2 seed in this year’s tournament. The Wildcats earned the No. 3 seed, only losing to the Eagles and No. 1. North Carolina.
There’s currently no betting line for the Boston College-Northwestern matchup, but you can bet on who you think will win the national championship. Here are the current odds (via FanDuel) to win the NCAA women’s lacrosse national championship:
North Carolina -170
Boston College +230
Northwestern +800
Florida +2000
