Arizona remained unbeaten on Saturday with a 97-78 Big 12-opening road win at Utah, taking a 19-point halftime lead before trading baskets the rest of the way. Tobe Awaka came off the bench for 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Jalen Bradley also scored 18 points. Brayden Burries finished with 17 points and 11 boards, Koa Peat went for 17 points and three steals, and Ivan Kharchenkov put up 13 points and three steals.

Kansas State also opened Big 12 play on Saturday, falling to then-No. 10 BYU at home 83-73. P.J. Haggerty finished with 24 points, six assists, and four steals, with Abdi Bashir Jr. adding 16 points. David Castillo dropped 13 points for K-State, and Khamari McGriff posted 12 points and eight rebounds. Nate Johnson picked off three steals.

Kansas State is 9-6 all-time against Arizona after a 73-70 win at home on Feb. 11 snapped a three-game losing streak in the series. Peat averages 14.4 points for Arizona, with Burries netting 14.2 points per game and Awaka getting 10.1 points and 10.3 rebounds a night. Haggerty leads Kansas State with averages of 23.0 points and 5.2 boards, Castillo puts up 13.3 points per game, and Johnson posts 11.5 points and 2.2 steals per outing.
