Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark was locked in while watching the Indiana Pacers’ thrilling Game 5 against the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night. In fact, she even admitted to checking the hometown team’s win probability on ESPN after a critical moment in the contest.
The Pacers beat the Bucks, 119-118, thanks to Tyrese Haliburton’s game-winning layup with 1.3 seconds left in overtime. The All-Star guard also completed an and-1 play prior to that to bring Indiana down to within one point, setting the stage for his heroic play.

After witnessing Haliburton’s clutch performance, Clark was spotted celebrating near the tunnel at Gainbridge Fieldhouse alongside her Fever teammate Lexie Hull. She also had a wordless reaction to the play—sharing only shushing face emojis—which she posted on her Instagram Stories.

On Wednesday, while speaking with reporters during the Fever media day, Clark talked about the intense moment again and Haliburton’s game-winner.
Interestingly, the Indiana sharpshooter revealed that she looked at the ESPN win probability after Haliburton put the Pacers in front in overtime. However, she was surprised to see that the percentage of a victory was not at 99 percent.

“It was crazy,” Clark said. “I was down in the tunnel watching. I had to go look at the ESPN win probability after that. It was like 97.9 [percent], which I’m like, ‘How is it not 99.9 [percent]?'”
Considering that there was still time left for one final shot for the Bucks after Tyrese Haliburton gave the Pacers the lead, it’s not surprising that Indiana’s win probability was not at 99 percent as Caitlin Clark would have hoped for.
Still, considering that the Bucks no longer had any timeout left, it was hard to see them making a game-winning play with the time they had. Milwaukee could only attempt a desperation heave after inbounding the ball to end the contest.

As the Pacers now move on to the Eastern Conference Semifinals, it’s safe to assume that Clark and the Fever will continue cheering for their NBA counterpart.
