Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant will miss a Jan. 9 game against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a right calf contusion.
Morant will miss his fourth consecutive game since he appeared bothered during a Jan. 2 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Morant was listed as questionable before the previous three games. He was considered a gametime decision by coach Tuomas Iisalo before a Jan. 7 loss to the Phoenix Suns.

This isn’t the first time Morant has dealt with a calf injury. He suffered a Grade 1 right calf strain in a Nov. 15 matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He missed 10 games and returned on Dec. 12.
This will be Morant’s 20th missed game this season. In 18 appearances, he’s averaging 19 points and 7.6 assists.
