San Antonio Spurs rookie Carter Bryant debuted in the G League on Friday, helping the Austin Spurs to a home win over the South Bay Lakers at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.

Bryant produced 15 points, five rebounds and two blocked shots in the 111-99 win as the Spurs improved to 2-4 in the regular season. He finished by shooting 6-of-13 from the field and was a plus-five in 28 minutes, 34 seconds off the bench.

The 14th pick in the 2025 NBA draft scored nine points in the first half alone as the Spurs held a 63-44 advantage at the intermission. He made an impact on both ends of the court and even threw down a highlight dunk in the second quarter.

Bryant has played sporadically with San Antonio, averaging 2.1 points and 1.6 rebounds on 31.9% shooting from the field in 29 appearances. He recorded a season-high 10 points, two steals and one rebound on Nov. 2 in a loss to the Phoenix Suns.

The team assigned Bryant to Austin on Friday to allow him to play extended minutes and receive additional reps on the court after averaging 7.9 minutes per game. The assignment also helped him stay in a rhythm to be ready to contribute when his number is called by Mitch Johnson.
