In Thursday’s victory over the Mavericks, Lauri Markkanen led the way for the Jazz as he recorded 33 points, seven rebounds and four assists while Keyonte George added 19 points and seven rebounds of his own.
Now Utah will try to grab another victory on Saturday at home as they face off against a struggling Hornets team.
On the other side, Charlotte enters Saturday’s contest with a 13-25 record after losing at home to the Indiana Pacers on Thursday night.

LaMelo Ball led the way for the Hornets in Thursday’s loss as he ended the game with 33 points and eight rebounds off the bench while Miles Bridges recorded 19 points, six rebounds and four assists.
While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Saturday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

For the Hornets, they have four players listed on their injury report, including both Grant Williams and Ryan Kalkbrenner.

Charlotte has listed Williams as probable due to recovery from ACL surgery and he is expected to make his season debut on Saturday night.
The Hornets have also listed Kalkbrenner as probable due to a left elbow sprain and he is expected to return from a 10-game absence on Saturday.

Tidjane Salaun has also been listed as probable and is expected to play despite a left ankle sprain while Mason Plumlee has been ruled out.

On the other side, the Jazz have five players listed on their injury report, including both Markkanen and Ace Bailey.

Utah has ruled out Markkanen due to rest as he will miss his first game since January 1 on Saturday.
With Markkanen sidelined, Kyle Filipowski will likely draw a start in his place while Cody Williams and Kyle Anderson could also have increased roles.
The Jazz have also ruled out Bailey due to a left hip flexor strain as he will miss his second consecutive contest.

Walker Kessler and Georges Niang have also been ruled out as they remain sidelined while recovering from injuries while Jusuf Nurkic has been listed as questionable due to a toe sprain.
