Sacramento Kings point guard Dennis Schröder has been suspended for three games for “confronting and attempting to strike another player” after his team’s loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The player in question? Lakers superstar Luka Dončić, according to NBA on Prime insider Chris Haynes.
The two clearly engaged in lots of trash-talking during that Dec. 28 game in Los Angeles that most likely fueled Schröder’s actions toward Dončić after the contest.
The Lakers play the Kings in Sacramento on Jan. 12, but Schröder will be sidelined for that game with the suspension.
Talk about some NBA drama!
