TORONTO — The Philadelphia 76ers are getting set to take on the Toronto Raptors on Sunday for the first night of a back-to-back looking to continue climbing up the standings in the East. They enter Sunday’s contest just half a game back of the Raptors for the No. 4 seed in the standings.
The Sixers have decided to sit Joel Embiid out for Sunday’s contest due to left knee injury management and left groin soreness. When considering the Sixers will face the Raptors again on Monday to finish their 3-game trip, it makes sense for the big fella to sit one of these games.

Embiid did play in six straight games before being ruled out for Sunday’s contest, so there has been progress in his recovery from his injuries.
The Sixers will look to pick up another important win when they take on the Raptors at 6 p.m. EST from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
