The Brooklyn Nets (11-25) began a three-game road trip with Sunday’s contest at the Memphis Grizzlies, a game that didn’t end up with the result that the Nets were hoping for. Brooklyn led 98-90 with 3 minutes remaining, but allowed the Grizzlies to finish the game on a 13-0 run. The Nets have another chance to close a game with Monday’s matchup at the Dallas Mavericks (14-25) and if you’re wondering how you can watch all the action live, you’ve come to the right place!
The Nets come into this game following Sunday’s 103-98 loss to the Grizzlies in which Brooklyn choked the game away in the last few minutes due to neither side of the floor working for them. Forward Noah Clowney put up 17 points (4-of-17 from the field and 4-of-15 from three-point land) and six rebounds while Tyrese Martin had 17 points and three rebounds off the bench.
The Mavericks enter this matchup after Friday’s 125-107 loss at the Chicago Bulls in which Dallas was unable to win a single quarter in Chicago. Guard Ryan Nembhard led the way for the Mavericks with 16 points and six assists while forward Naji Marshall had 14 points and four rebounds while rookie Cooper Flagg struggled to 11 points on 4-of-13 shooting from the field.

Advice and Prediction
The Nets had one of the best performances in the league during the month of December, but January has shown some of the cracks that Brooklyn has on both ends of the floor. When the Nets began this season with an 0-7 start, the main reasons for the losing came down to the lack of defense and rebounding so the hope is they can turn it around soon.
The Mavericks are dealing with a litany of injuries, namely to players like Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis, and Dereck Lively II, among others. Dallas is relying on players like rookie Cooper Flagg and veteran Naji Marshall to provide the production in the absence of Irving and Davis so wins could be hard to come by until at least one of their stars can return to the floor.
The Nets and Mavericks rank towards the bottom of the league in offensive rating, but the defensive side of the floor and pace is where these two teams differ. Brooklyn is in the bottom half of the Association in defensive rating and in pace while Dallas is towards the top of the NBA on the defensive end and how many possessions they generate over the course of a game.
Prediction: Mavericks 115, Nets 110
