Knicks’ Chances of Getting Multiple All-Stars
The New York Knicks are one of the few teams in the league with a chance to get multiple All-Stars this season.
The two players fighting for spots in the game are Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns.

On January 6, the NBA released its second round of fan voting for the 2026 All-Star Game.
In the Eastern Conference, Brunson and Towns ranked second and seventh, respectively.
Five players from each conference will be selected for the All-Star Game via voting. The vote is determined by fans (50%), current NBA players (25%), and a media panel (25%). These 10 players will start in the All-Star Game next month.
Judging by the fan vote, Brunson should get in as one of the five selections in the East. The Knicks’ captain is seventh in scoring (28.9) to go along with 6.3 assists and 3.3 rebounds.
Brunson will look to make it three consecutive All-Star Game appearances.
Brunson remains the best player on a Knicks team that enters Wednesday night ranked second in the conference at 25-14. The Knicks are 3.5 games behind the first-place Detroit Pistons.
Voting concludes tonight, Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
If Towns finds himself outside of the top five, then he will not be a starter in the All-Star Game. However, Towns can still secure one of the Eastern Conference’s seven reserve roles. The coaches determine the all-star reserves.
Towns, a five-time All-Star, is having another strong offensive season — 21.4 points, 11.4 rebounds (2nd in NBA), and 3.0 assists on shooting splits of 47.1/35.5/86.5.
Brunson and Towns started in the All-Star game last season. Can they do it again for the second year?
Brunson is a lock to make the 2026 team, and he will most likely start.
It will be tough for Towns to start since All-Stars are being selected regardless of position. Towns is probably on the bubble this year.
One to two teams typically end up having at least two All-Stars. If the Detroit Pistons are in first place at the All-Star break, then they should get two selections — Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren.
If KAT does not receive enough votes to start, it will be up to the coaches to select him.
2026 All-Star Game Format
Another year, another All-Star Game format.
In 2026, the All-Star Game will be a round-robin tournament featuring three teams of eight players. Two teams will consist of U.S. players, and one team will be represented by international players.
The tournament includes four 12-minute games.
The 2026 NBA All-Star Game is set for Sunday, Feb. 15, from the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. NBC and Peacock will broadcast the game.
